Quotes

“We’ve seen him [Angel Correa] score this goal many times. It’s street football, it’s futsal, football that resolves moments where there are no spaces,” Simeone said after their clash with Betis.

“It’s true that he took the ball on the deflection (off Aitor Ruibal), but he looks for the ball to make that happen. And he ends up solving that situation with enormous quality.

“What else can we say about Correa? He always plays, whether it’s 20 minutes, 30, 40 ... He is one of the players with the most minutes in the squad, and that speaks for itself in terms of the importance that I place, above all, on how he plays within a team.”

Head-to-Head

Atletico were held to a 1-1 draw by Vallecano in their last meeting in La Liga with the match taking place at the Cívitas Metropolitano on 18 October 2022.

Therefore, the Mattress Makers are undefeated in their last 11 league matches against Vallecans having registered nine wins and two draws.
